Client Stories
Evidence from real exception reviews — named by role and sector, not invented star ratings.
Short notes from controllers
“They isolated sixty-odd unapplied remittances we had been chasing for two quarters. The findings schedule was blunt about what we still owned — which was useful, even when it stung.”
— Controller, mid-market trading group, Kwun Tong
“The credit-note audit caught three large adjustments raised on the last day of the quarter with weak invoice links. Our auditors later asked for that schedule by name.”
— Finance manager, consumer goods distributor, Tsuen Wan
“Pre-close walkthrough bought us two clear days. We did not clear every dispute, but we knew which three invoices had to sit in the board commentary.”
— AR supervisor, regional logistics subsidiary, Kwai Chung
“Useful work, though fieldwork took a day longer than scoped because our invoice PDFs were scattered across two drives. Worth planning cleaner access next time.”
— CFO, professional services partnership, Central
Extended story: trading group aging clean-up
A Kwun Tong trading company approached Cloudx Logic three weeks before a lender covenant review. Their AR aging showed HK$4.2M past 90 days, but the AR team could not say how much was true dispute versus posting error.
Constraints: No on-site access to the ERP for outsiders; extracts only. Two key sales managers were travelling.
What we did: Full AR exception review on items above HK$15,000, plus a parallel unapplied cash matching pass on remittance suspense.
Outcome: Findings reclassified roughly HK$1.1M as timing or misapplied cash rather than collectability risk, documented fourteen genuine disputes for sales follow-up, and left a residual list the controller used in the lender pack. Collections themselves remained with the client.
Extended story: credit notes near cut-off
A Tsuen Wan distributor asked for a credit note & adjustment audit after their external auditors flagged unusual credit volume in Q4. Sampling across 180 notes identified weak authority on a cluster of year-end credits tied to a single sales campaign. The client tightened dual approval before the next quarter — a process change they owned; we only documented the pattern.
